Salesforce announced a $5.66 billion agreement to acquire Braze, a customer engagement software company, in an all-cash transaction that sent Braze shares surging more than 51% following the announcement. Under the terms of the deal, Braze shareholders will receive $47.50 per share in cash, representing a substantial premium over the stock's pre-announcement trading price.
The acquisition is expected to close in Salesforce's fiscal year 2028, the companies said. The transaction represents one of Salesforce's more significant purchases in recent years as the enterprise software giant continues to expand its portfolio of customer-facing tools and data platforms.
